The Vice Chancellor of Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu, Dr. B.N. Tripathi, today met with Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary to discuss several key issues concerning the welfare and development of the university.
During the meeting, Dr. Tripathi raised concerns related to the growth and progress of the university and highlighted specific challenges that need government intervention. These included matters related to infrastructure, academic advancements, and resources required to strengthen the university’s position as a leading institution in agricultural sciences and research.
Government’s Commitment to Academic Excellence
In response, the Deputy Chief Minister reassured Dr. Tripathi that the present government is committed to fostering academic and scientific excellence in higher educational institutions, particularly those involved in agricultural research. He emphasized that the government would extend all necessary assistance to address the issues raised by the Vice Chancellor.
“We are dedicated to ensuring the growth and development of institutions like SKUAST to enhance the quality of education and research. The government will take prompt action to resolve the concerns raised,” said Surinder Choudhary during the meeting.
